Class description:
Learn a wide variety of embroidery stitches and techniques. Use the hip and fun patterns provided or learn how to turn your own simple line drawings (or tracings from coloring book pages) into easy-to-use patterns. Basic materials will be provided, including scraps for practicing. You’ll learn great techniques to apply to your gift-making projects!!!
Special notes and items to bring:
Feel free to bring drawings you'd like to turn into patterns and/or something you'd like to embroider onto (t-shirt material is a difficult one to start with because it stretches--you'll have better luck with a stiff fabric).
Read this before you register
- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
