Class description:
You were a bridesmaid in your cousin’s wedding. You wore the hideous dress and even smiled through the family pics- now what to do with the beast? Or what about that stint as a Corporate Working Girl and the wardrobe you acquired that still makes you cringe? Don’t throw the goods away- recycle them into something fabulous!
In an ode to the super popular “Swap-o-Rama” events, this class will teach you how to take the clothing you no longer want and refashion it into something that you’ll adore!
Special notes and items to bring:
2-3 Men's Button-down shirts (or any other garments that can be cut up to use for the project)
-Fabric scissors
-3/8" Elastic for skirt waistband
- straight pins
-thread
-embellishments (beads, rhinestones, buttons)
- a sewing machine if they have one. (** Please note I will have a few machines with me that we can use for the class** if you need a machine please list this in your registration, so we can be sure to have a machine for you!)
Read this before you register
- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
