Class description:
In this class we will start with a blank tin lunch box and end up with a unique gift that could be used for a variety of occasions. The class sample shows the tin converted into a "Baby's First Year" album to record a monthly photo and highlights during a baby's first year. The box is a great way to store additional photos as well as other special mementos. The lunch box would also make a great recipe holder, card file or collection of annual photos. The possibilities are endless. Pick out your supplies based on the theme you would like for your album.
Special notes and items to bring:
*All supplies available at collage.
· One, White tin lunch box (top loading)
· Six, 12 x 12 sized patterned paper
(in your color theme, recommend at least 3 different patterns)
· Six, 12 x 12 solid cardstock (Bazzill) to make your index cards
(recommend at least 3 different colors in your color theme)
· Various ribbons to coordinate with your color theme (1yd, each)
· A variety of embellishments (buttons, chipboard, etc.)
· Adhesive (recommend Herma adhesive)
· Paper Trimmer
· Scissors
· Acid-free pen
Read this before you register
- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
