Class description:
If you have ever thought about taking a mosaic class, are interested in doing larger projects in the future, or just want to experiment with the mosaic medium, this is the class for you. Learn basic mosaic techniques from start to finish. Class will focus on scrap and re-used glass as tesserae for mosaic. Students will design and create a 6” by 6” glass mosaic and leave class with the knowledge to finish their project at home.
Special notes and items to bring:
Safety glasses. Grouting supplies will also be needed to finish project after class, but do not need to be purchased prior to coming to class.
All other supplies will be provided.

- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
