Class description:
Metal clay is an exciting new product that allows anyone to create beautiful 99.9% pure fine silver adornments and art objects. Before firing the clay, it is pliable. This allows you to hand-sculpt the silver as well as incorporate a variety of media in order to add color and texture. In this class we will be making a ring that uses silver metal clay. You will be stamping a texture or design into the ring before firing. This class is taught for beginners, but anyone will enjoy it.
Special notes and items to bring:
All supplies are included and the instructor’s tools may be used during class. If you have a texture mat that you like you may bring it along.
Read this before you register
- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
