The DIY Lounge is mobile – It brings a comfortable and kitschy environment straight to your community, your neighborhood, your office, or your living room. We conduct business with the following principles in mind:
- Do-It-Yourself ethics are cool!
- Everyone has the ability to express themselves creatively and we offer the space and the creative teaching support to get there.
- An interdependent relationship between artists/designers and people wanting to learn to do-it-themselves fosters creative connections, enriching our community.
- Creative expression is important to our daily lives. In addition to being personally enriching, it is also both fun and relaxing.
We operate with four arms:
Online video craft tutorials
As opposed to a class they fit any
schedule. They're affordable and you can view them over and over if
you wish! As opposed to a book, participants are able to actually see
skilled artists create works , thus giving an idea of the details what
the craft truly entails- a real advantage for visual learners! The
learning process is simplified with the addition of real time visuals.
TV show
In addition to our exciting Internet video developments, we
are in the midst of working on a craft instruction based TV show with
Richard Fox and award winning cinematographer Patrick Cummings.
Kids camps
While the kids are out of school, No School Art School is
IN SESSION. Jennifer Wells Design, DIY Lounge and a wide variety of
local artist/teachers team up to offer amazingly comprehensive art
programs for kids age 6-12.
Birthday parties
Birthday Parties (or any type of party really!) are
specially tailored to the tastes of your child and provide the perfect
low stress/high fun avenue for busy parents. Contact us for rates and
